Bark
cloth hat
This hat is handmade
in Uganda from bark cloth. The process is a lengthy and labor
intensive; but is something that the people of Uganda have been
skilled at for hundreds of years.
Long ago, bark cloth
was made for the Buganda royal family's attire. The ladies in
the cooperative take great pride in continuing the craft today.
